Real Estate Transactions of John Outten Sr.

On May 15th in the year of our Lord God 1724, and the 9th of Charles I, of noble memory, (evidently he meant Charles Calvert the Fifth Lord Baltimore) John Outten purchased a tract of land on the east side of Chesapeake Bay, on the south side of Pocomoke River, and island of land on the marsh 26 1/2 acres more or less for which he paid 12,000 pounds of tobacco.

On September 17, in the year of our Lord God 1728, John Outten bought of William Pert 480 acres of land for 49 pounds and ten shillings, a part of which he sold to his son, Abraham Outten.
